First Post!

This is the very first post of "Blisters and Balanchine: blog posts of an American ballet student". This blog will be about my classes, new blisters, crazy teachers, summer intensives, auditions and expensive leotards I can only dream of having!

  1. my poem i wrote for you: its called "wax wings" its genius, plus its about a man so its not u, here it is:
    Wax Wings
First a toast to the past
    Liquidy preference
Then the frolics of a bubbly Balanchine
    At a midnight in Paris
    All the city’s a stage
In the midst of the sea of humanity
A Boschscape of Vows, song and flesh
    The movements between the notes
    Those with African lilt
    Who burn the midnight oil
    He is a twenties memory
    An old mill’s second wind
    The seeds of promise
    Alas
    System in disarray
He who was laced with hope
    Fall of the wild
    Narrow the gap!
    Such sweet sorrow
    Steady the complaint box
    Behold the anonymous downtrodden
In their own words, a sphere of influence
Culture warrior looks to broaden the battle
    Defying gravity
    A different kind of paradise
